There is a product called Graffiti Remover or Vandaway (it is in an aerosol can). Home Depot sells it. I work for a municipality and we are always having to remove graffiti from buildings and signs. Just make sure you use it outdoors..

Who does charging the nozzle of a spray paint can make it use less paint?
Actually, charging the nozzle of the CAN does NOT make IT use less paint. However, LESS paint is used for the JOB, e.g. spray-painting a car. But charging the nozzle of the CAN is only half of the equation; the object being sprayed MUST also be charged with the OPPOSITE charge.
Let us say that the car to be painted is positively charged. Then the nozzle will be negatively charged. As the tiny droplets are forced out of the nozzle, they pick up negative charges which will cause them to be attracted to the car. More paint will therefore adhere to the car. Hence, less paint for the job. Without the charging, lots of pain is blown away due to air pressure.
Incidentally, the paint will be more evenly distributed since the negatively-charged droplets will keep a more or less equal distance from one another before they touch the car. This will give a better finish.

That should get it out. It works for me with marker, food, pens, and other stuff so hopefully it should work for you.

you can try to dipp them in thinner, like cellulose thinner.
Don't forget that each time you use a spray can, after you're done, you should invert the can and spray 'till practically no paint comes out.
This will leave the nozzle cleaned.

The improper paint ignites while you are riding and seers your leg causing you to dump the bike in front of fuel tanker truck which veers off the road bursting into flames and emitting a plume of smoke which is detected by North Korean radar as an attack causing them to launch a nuclear strike of such intensity that it knocks the earth off its axis causing it to spin into the sun resulting in a solar implosion that produces a black hole that sucks all light and matter into a worm hole spitting it back out into a parallel dimension where the known laws of physics do not apply rendering motorcycling impossible in this new parallel universe and your name gets associated with this disaster causing all the inhabitants to hunt you down like a wild animal to exact their revenge.

If you have a metal blade paint scraper they work. It's like a razor blade but it's made specifically for removing paint off glass and mirrors.
Maybe paint stripper, but try it on an old mirror first, you may need to trial and error it...diluting the paint stripper, because it could be too strong.

Mr Clean Magic erasers take almost anything off. If you have one of those laying around give it a try.

If you have a metal blade paint scraper they work. It's like a razor blade but it's made specifically for removing paint off glass and mirrors.
Maybe paint stripper, but try it on an old mirror first, you may need to trial and error it...diluting the paint stripper, because it could be too strong.

Yes you can. You will need a special paint for the bumper that has a flexing agent in it or it will crack the first day it gets too hot or too cold. You must also prep the bumper or the paint will not stick properly. I suggest you find and automotive paint supplier in your area. Yes its possible to paint the plastic bumpers on your car, however one word of caution. Some manufacturers use a textured surface on the plastics, this surface can be a real pain to flatten before painting. As the other contributors have said you need to use a gray plastic primer rated for hot and cold weather. Try Halfords for you pre-mixed paint. first clean the surface with a grease and oil remover then use a 1500 grit sand paper to rough up the surface then use a flexible primer DuPont makes a good one auto parts stores such as Oreilly and parts plus caries them the primer color should be light grey then when it is dried use a 2000 or 2500 grit sand paper to smooth it out repeat until acceptable then DuPont makes a flex paint that will go on nicely also don't forget a clear sealer and note that all sand paper should be wet to assist in removing excess grit and debris that are left behind last when all is done and set build with a good polish and wax to bring out shine and provide added protection

Your best bet is a local paint dealer. You may be able to negotiate a discount for this kind of quantity. Probably have better luck at a locally owned establishment than one of the big boxes.

If your not looking to damage a finish, and to not get your butt beat, sued, etc..., leave the car alone. Find a better way to prank someone. Something that wont cause someone to track you down, and mess with your little life in a painful and horible manner.
Spray paint are full of solvents and chemicals, to keep them useable while in the can, and to allow them to spray. Those same solvents and chemicals can, and will, eat thru a cars wax, paint, and other finishes, and cause hundreds of $$'s of damage, or more.
mmm.. dont paint the car with any paint... tempera will take off the varnish..oil and latex more.. heres what i did to a car once.. serane wrap the entire thing, cover it with maple syrup and oats and let it sit overnight... big mess to clean up but the car is safe..better be a good friend with a great sense of humor for this one..
use that fake snow in a can stuff. looks close to spray paint and cleans off easy.

Spray paint are full of solvents and chemicals, to keep them useable while in the can, and to allow them to spray. Those same solvents and chemicals can, and will, eat thru a cars wax, paint, and other finishes, and cause hundreds of $$'s of damage, or more.
mmm.. dont paint the car with any paint... tempera will take off the varnish..oil and latex more.. heres what i did to a car once.. serane wrap the entire thing, cover it with maple syrup and oats and let it sit overnight... big mess to clean up but the car is safe..better be a good friend with a great sense of humor for this one..
use that fake snow in a can stuff. looks close to spray paint and cleans off easy.

Reduce your air pressure and open the fan. Spray a test pattern on some paper to make sure the paint is being sprayed evenly. (Not heavy on top or bottom) Then spray in different directions. Cris cross the spray path. Then on the last coat, back away from the panel at least two feet and spray one mist coat diagonally. And make sure you are allowing plenty of flash time between coats.

I would not use polyurethane as a base at all, because then the silver paint will not stick. Instead, use a good all-around primer like Kilz or B.I.N. Either will make sure your paint will stick.
The most important thing is to coat the INSIDE of the planter as well as the outside. If you coat only the outside, water will absorb through the terra cotta, and your paint and everything else will peel away from behind.

I never heard of that but I don't know much about terracotta. I would just spray paint and then finish off with a clear varnish to conceal the silver, once dry, glue your stones.

I have Krylon Fusion spray paint and it works wonderfully without preparation, but since Krylon doesn't have much of a variation on their colors, I thought I needed more. Well the short answer is that you can do it.
The long answer is this: First spray paint doesn't really work that well from an aesthetic standpoint or for longevity. Two, you have to be really really really careful in how you do it. You can't just spray any which way.
Barrel. If there is any porting in your barrel, you would need to tape that off. You need to keep the inside of the barrel just like it is. Even the smallest amount of paint on the inside will make the ball go funny.
If you have an electric hopper, you're going to run into problems there as well. I'd suggest taking the whole thing apart and shooting just the exterior.
The 98 is black, so I';m not sure why you'd want to paint it anyway.
As far as painting the gun itself. I would strongly advise against this. If you insist on doing it, you need to take your gun completely apart. Take all the moving bits out. Tape off every tiny little hole and crack. You don't want a speck of paint on the inside. You don't want anything to gum up. A Neutral Density filter is just what it says - neutral. It doesn't add or subtract color from the scene. It just blocks excess light.

Can i spray paint patent leather pumps?
so I bought these red peep toe heels which I sprayed with gold glitter for a dorothy costume. well, now i'm done with that costume and was wondering if i would be able to spray them white and stencil on them with other colors without it chipping and showing the red. Would i have to prime it first? would it crack? any suggestions on the best way to do this would be great.

It will if you use fabric paint through an airbrush :)
If you use Acrylic or enamel other art style paint available from the local art supplies store then it's going to fade.
You can get sprayable (airbrush) fabric paint, or you can get mixable pot paints (the paintbrush version) or you can get squeezy tubes of the stuff for outlining and such. I am very sorry, I don't know where you can get them (I'm in the UK and guessing you're not) but I know they're out there. I have used the pot and squeezy variety, many years ago. With luck by now they may have developed a spray can version that you could use.

You didnt prep/clean body good enough. Alot of people thinks sanding is good enough to remove grease, oils, wax, etc but it's not. The doors are the most handled part of a car, plus alot of people uses armor all on interior, and weather stripping.. That stuff is like a greasy wax.
Before painting
You need to wash car with soap and water 1st and dry it, then wipe down with prep all type grease and wax remover.. Then sand..
After you sand you need to blow sanding dust off, and wash again, and wipe down with prep all again
Then paint..
Also best to wear some type of rubber-ish gloves when doing body and paint work and your skin has oils and salt in/on them. You can cause paint to fish eye or not stick just by touching the metal with your fingers.
Seems like you have oil or wax on the door, wipe it off with laquer thinners and use a ';tack '; rag just before you repaint the door. This should help you out --- good luck !

Mask the tire or it will look crappy. use a spray paint designated as wheel paint, not the 89 cent special! and a thin coat of primer or silver paint will improve the looks of the final finish as it blocks old paint bleed thru. I painted black rims with silver and my neighbor thought i bought four wheel covers.

I have green resin (plastic) patio chairs that are losing their color. I plan to spray paint them: good idea?
The chairs are four years old. They are sturdy and have no other problems, so I don't want to throw them out if paint will do the trick. However, I'm concerned about paint peeling off. If I don't want to waist time and bother, I wear Rubber Gloves when using those cans. Acetone is another good paint remover, but it is very strong and must be washed off immediately.

look up stenciling with spray paint.. its a little bit easier then just starting with graffiti. basically all you do is cut out and create a stencil of whatever you want, place it where you want it, and then spray paint away. most pieces like that are not limited to just spray painting.. they are mixed media.
Nobody can tell you how to do it. The best thing you can do if find a big cardboard box and cut aout various shapes: semicircles, triangles, squares. Then buy an assortment of big but fine carboard and various assortments of spray paint and maybe even a small nozzle for those pesky little details and start trying to create small and simple drawings. then go on and try to make them a bit more difficult. with time you'll get the hang of it

Nobody can tell you how to do it. The best thing you can do if find a big cardboard box and cut aout various shapes: semicircles, triangles, squares. Then buy an assortment of big but fine carboard and various assortments of spray paint and maybe even a small nozzle for those pesky little details and start trying to create small and simple drawings. then go on and try to make them a bit more difficult. with time you'll get the hang of it

None. Don't use a thinner it will attack the plastic. For acrylic you should be able to thin it with a water and alchol mixture. This will obvious depend on how thick the paint is to start with. they make a paint splatter guide (available at home depot or lowe's) that you can use to gaurd your ceilings. to cover your windows you need to use some plastic and painter's tape, and your floors can be covered with old sheets or drop cloths, all available at the hardware store. bathroom fixtures/cabinets i would just cover with the sheets. do be careful with the fumes inside the condo. take regular breaks if all windows are closed so that you don't get sick or pass out. buy your paint through sherwin williams or benjamin moore. you will pay more but the quality of paint is better than a cheap paint like baer or valspar, which you get at home depot and lowes. go cheap with the primer. good luck.I am going to use a spray gun to paint my condo. First, even though the lid on the can is a ';color';, in your case just because the lid is grey doesn't mean that the liquid inside is tinted grey. Most brands of spray paint not only manufacture colors, but primers and final clear topcoats as well. These cans also have colored lids, even though their lid color might not correspond with what's inside.
So, read the front of your can and check to see if it says anything about ';clear finish'; or ';top coat';. Even though your can's lid is grey (I'm assuming), the liquid inside is a clear coat meant for use after you've applied your color of choice.
The second possibility is as others have alluded to: either you've not shaken your can of paint properly OR you've attempted to use a can of paint that is so old, the pigment has separated out from the binding agent... (whether you decided to use a family member's ancient can of spray paint on the garage shelf or you bought a can new from a store that had the paint on their shelf for too long...). If you bought the can new, try shaking it and spraying it. If you've ruled out that it's top coat and it still comes out clear, you SHOULD be able to get a refund or do an exchange.

The bumper has to be sanded and wiped clean of any oil, so you need to spray it before putting it on and keep your paws off it till its dry 24 hours, most new Car's use base coat or clear coat so you would need two tips to spray it, one for the color and one for the clear coat and the additive for flexing on the clear coat. There are special paints for plastic but you don't have to use them. Be sure if you spray it it's away from other people and wear a mask it is very toxic, some people have been known to see things when breathing the fumes and It It could be against the law if your in a city because it hazardous

You got to sand the surface smooth first, dust it off and then put on a primer first and let that dry overnight. An alkyd primer(oil based) is better than latex primer(water based) because what happens when wood gets wet with water - it swells. The water based paint will dry with the now ';swollen wood';. If you rub your hand over the dried primer, it would feel very rough like sandpaper.
Putting an oil based primer on the wood - wood does not soak in the oil the same way as it does the water, so it does not swell as much. End result will be a smoother finish when dry the next day.
Grab some 120 sandpaper and go over the primer lightly until it feels silky smooth and still not sand thru the paint.
Blow off the dust. Any nail holes and cracks should be filled. Use paintable silicone. Give that an hour to dry(especially in the cases where it is a crack 1/4'; or wider.) Otherwise 15 minutes.
Now the paint finish of your choice Latex or Oil. Give it a coat. Wait overnight - give it a very light sanding to knock off the flies or other debris and another coat. Let dry for another day. Done.
Lead has been taken out of paint now a days. So don't use some paint that has been there for 10 years or more.
FYI.....I described this all while I am using a brush to do the job.
Use the right kind of brush makes the job a breeze.
For oil paint use a natural bristle brush(in this case I would pick a 2 1/2'; sash brush(has angle cut bristles) Wash out brush in paint thinner or if it is going to be used the next day wrap the brush in saran rap(or plastic)keeping the bristles flat and put someplace out of the sun and heat.
For latex paint use a polyester brush(especially the ones with the white tips). They are finer and more like natural bristle. Either wash the brush out very well with water(from the waterhose)when done or it to can be wrapped in plastic for an overnighter.
Do NOT mix up the brushes. Polyester does not work very well in oils, neither does natural bristle in latex.
Painting with a brush is like using either a fine pen to do calligraphy or using a thick wax crayon to do the same.
I don't like to work any harder than I have to.
Don't need the most expensive, a mid priced brush will do you for several houses after the crib.
Spray paint is mainly solvents(very little paint)
Comparison - take a quart of paint and throw in a gallon of thinner(water). That is about the same consistency.
Don't put it on heavily, otherwise it runs. Brush it on a little on the dry side. The next coat will get the misses. Or the next. Disassemble as much as possible to make the painting easy. Turn on the tunes, coffee in one hand and do er'

Two or three or four coats on your morel should work perfectly. You can get by just fine with a second coat as long as you 'clear' coat your finished project. You can buy clear coat Krylon Varnish at just about any arts and crafts store or artist supply store.
But here is another tip: If you're going to be doing serious cray sculptures why bother with Montana Spray Paint? There is a much better product on the market. It's called Plutonium G and it's actually artist oil paint in a spray can. It will last as long as any artist oil paint because it is oil paint.

I live in Canada and I can't seem to find any stores that sell upholstery paint. Can I use acrylic paint spray to spray my couch? Will it rub off on clothing? I have a heavily stained couch that has rough and stiff fabric. I'm not too worried if the paint is too stiff unless it cracks. I don't want the paint to crack. I wouldn't recommend paint. It would make the surface very uncomfortable for seating. I suggest buying fabric dye (Rit brand for example), and mis it in a bucket. Use rubber gloves and a sponge and dye the fabric instead. I did this on a cream colored couch and it worked perfectly. Be sure to read the instructions for setting the dye and also protect any other surface where you are working. Be sure not to overly wet the upholstery and it should dry in a reasonable amout of time. Good Luck!! Also, the color did not transfer onto any other clothing or surface after drying!

Be sure to paint it in the garage, but it doesn't have to be a perfect environment. Tarp off stuff you don't want painted if you spray. I used a home compressor with a cheap $30 spray gun - you can rent a compressor, but don't trust a rental spray gun - it's probably dirty. Buy one for about $30. Thinned the paint with xylene and it went on well. 1 quart will be more than enough - you'll be able to get a couple of coats worth on your jetski. You can brush, but do it on a cooler day if you can so that it will give the paint plenty of time to flow out and hide the brush marks. Spraying works best on a larger boat, but isn't necessary on a smaller boat such as yours.

Oh it's safe alright, but worth it? Probably not. If you spraypaint it, the value of it (if you end up trading it in at some point) will be worthless, not to mention the fact that the iPod Nano (first generation) is easily scratched and very slippery. Chances are the paint would chip off within a week and you would have to constantly maintain it by respraying it. If your looking for hiding the scratches on your iPod Nano, there are plenty of methods on the internet, I've heard some as crazy as putting toothpaste on it. I can safely say that the spraypaint wouldn't damage it internally. The fumes and the paint particles suspended in the air are extremely toxic. Don鈥檛 breathe for any period of time. Wear a filter mask and insure the area you paint in is very well ventilated. It can cause brain damage, organ damage, (heart, liver, kidneys) and lung problems such as COPD, asthma and cancer. It can also cause blood disorders. The smell is from the VOC (volatile organic chemicals) remaining in the air. The only thing to do is to air out the room completely.
Be very careful.
