See you other question. Check with the dealer before painting. I don't want you to damage the watercraft. Is Interlux Brightsides good paint to use to paint a jet ski and how should i paint it spray or brush?
Yes, it's a good paint - very shiny and quite durable. All the work you spend on the project is in the prep. Clean, clean, clean your boat. Then wetsand it so the paint will get good adhesion. Be sure to paint it in the garage, but it doesn't have to be a perfect environment. Tarp off stuff you don't want painted if you spray. I used a home compressor with a cheap $30 spray gun - you can rent a compressor, but don't trust a rental spray gun - it's probably dirty. Buy one for about $30. Thinned the paint with xylene and it went on well. 1 quart will be more than enough - you'll be able to get a couple of coats worth on your jetski. You can brush, but do it on a cooler day if you can so that it will give the paint plenty of time to flow out and hide the brush marks. Spraying works best on a larger boat, but isn't necessary on a smaller boat such as yours.
