Using metallic spray paint as base coat?

if i put gloss black over it, will it look good? its on plastic and im trying to get a mirror finishUsing metallic spray paint as base coat?
You should always put on a base coat or a primer. I usually use a gloss white for a base if I want a smooth finish. Then, put several coats of the balsk on, and if you follow the directions on the can, after a few coats, you will have a nice shiny finish. Yes it' will look good you might have to give it a couple of coats of black spray paint just be sure not to spray it on too thick at first to avoid runs.
