Painting an Ice rink with spray paint?

My friend has a home ice rink and we want to paint the line of a hockey rink on it can regular spray paint or any kind of spray paint be used on the ice?Painting an Ice rink with spray paint?
i would use a water based paint, this way in the spring it will just wash away with the rain. call your local rink, they should have some good advice and maybe some free paint.Painting an Ice rink with spray paint?
I would use a water-based paint. http://www.jetice.com/ is the paint that the NHL uses, but I'm sure it's expensive. Also remember you have to put another layer of ice over the lines or the paint will just chip off.
Remember that depending on the color the painted areas will absorb more heat. Thus you could end up with puddles for lines while the rest of your rink is playable.
I agree with Paul, unless you want to contaminate the grass come spring, go with a water based paint or even some spray on chalk, then give her another coat of water or two
