How do u get spray paint off of metal?

without scratching or ruining the metalHow do u get spray paint off of metal?
A Paint Stripper will take the finish off of the bike too....do not use this....Use lacqer thinner on a rag dmapened and take it off..and it will not take the bicycle paint off unless it is drenched on it and allowed to eat it... I am A 37 year painter%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; We have to clean ';overspray'; quite often..especially when I'm teaching a person to spray! How do u get spray paint off of metal?
What kind of metal? If steel or aluminum you can use Tolulene or paint stripper.
Any hardware store sells gel or spray on paint stripper. You just put it on the area and wait. How long depends on what type of paint and how much/how thick.

Another option would be to use MEK (methyl ethyl ketone), xylol (Xylene) or naptha. All three of these are VERY potent, flammable and can cause nervous system damage if you don't use gloves.

Good luck.
Hi, You would have to use a liquid paint stripper. I'm guessing this is for outside,if not be sure to have plenty of windows open because the fumes are quite strong. Bye
white spirit might do it
Soak it in a good paint remover
I've had good luck with paint strippers (either a brush-on formula or aerosol) and a PLASTIC scraper so that you don't scratch the surface. Also, some of the orange-based adhesive removers like Goo Gone or Goof Off will remove paint and aren't as harsh. All of these are readily available at home improvement stores.
You spray paint your car another color, Duh.
