If the plastic is slick you won't get the paid to stick. You could use a little sandpaper in the area you are painting and that may take enough of the shine off. There are paints that come in the same containers as the acrylic that works pretty good on plastic but it can be a little costly. Check Michael's or hobby lobby for the paint. Is is specific to plastic. Good luck! How to paint name on plastic bed without spray paint but with brush on acrylic?
I must know this before I give you advice.

Is your plastic porous ? or smooth ? will this be done in free-hand or stencil ?

If this will be done free-hand I will need to explain how you can prepare your lettering and transfer it to the plastic

you will need a blow dryer, ex-acto knife, 3in. masking tape,

ENAMEL paint , 24 in. piece of poster paper, pencil ,

letter stencil or a steady free-hand
