i have blank white printable cds, and white blank digipaks, ive had them a whiel and finaly putting them to use, for the cases im repainting them flat black with metallic gold for the band name but id like to paint the cds to, since i dont have a cd printer, and i was just wondering if the paint would eat away at it?

The only thing you want to use on CDs is a good Sharpie. That other stuff you're talking about is pretty wild and can cause serious problems with the computer. Can you spray paint on a printable cd?

a CD printer would spray water color on the printable side.

I would take an air spray painter and use water colors to label it.

Burn tthe CDs first as sometimes the center being colored messes up the burn process.
some paint will melt with the CD as it has a catalyst that bonds with it, some paints like latex are unlikely to melt the CD, but if they get loose they will likely damage the CD player. I would say use a marker instead.
