Will spray paint stick to animal bone? Will it corrode the bone in any way?

Hi there. I have a cat skull that I am going to paint silver. I have silver spray paint handy, and am wondering if it will flake off or harm the bone if I use it on the skull.

Advice?

PS. The skull is from my dead cat. ;).Will spray paint stick to animal bone? Will it corrode the bone in any way?
I'm not an expert, I'm just relating my experiences. Bones left exposed to the outdoor elements will flake apart and deteriorate with time, keeping them indoors automatically extends their -pardon the expression -life span. I know that the skull needs to be cleaned and empty. I had a bear skull gathered during a hike that I kept outside untreated and it fell apart after ten years. I also have an unidentified mammal skull again found while hiking, that I painted with a latex (water based) varathane type varnish and it's still doing fine. It must be dampness that affects them and the varnish keeps the dampness away. perhaps you should seal the skull first with varathane and then spray paint it with the silver? Some spray paints are made with solvents, some are just water based pigments. Bones are easy to preserve if they are cleaned, bleached and then coated with varathane. I did a bit of checking, there's not much on preserving skulls that aren't birds, here's a site that says almost the same as i just did:
